When I said I would blog more this week apparently what I meant was I would think about it more but not post anything. Oh well. I played around on the tennis court this morning with my dad and little brother. First time I’ve picked up a tennis racket in a while. Pretty much every backhand I attempted I pulled down the first base line, guess I need to work on that. Later today Germany tries to extend its record number of Euro championships against Spain with out Ballack. I’m slightly nervous…
- A church in Dallas that takes “The Harvest” literally…very cool
- This week a record number of Freshmen were taken in the NBA draft because of rules prohibiting high school graduates from entering the draft for one year. This guy might earn money playing in Europe first.
- Nancy Gibbs from Time gives a good perspective on the Gloucester Girls
- The Future of Energy – The New dotcom? – from the Economist
- So Algeria can have nuclear power but Iran can’t? What if in 10 years we like Iran more than we like Algeria? I wonder about the nuclear monopoly sometimes.
- A different way to move…
- Before you get excited (or disappointed) look at these statistics on religion closely.
- $300 Million is yours for the taking! Isn’t $300 m a little high John?
- Jesus in China
- Here’s an intense post on the Mississippi Flooding from a missionary in New Orleans. I think he’s right on.
- Obama as Reagan 2.0
That’s it for this weekend. This week I’ll be really busy, trying to fit in a lot of work before camping with the family over the weekend. I do have some good things to blog though, so hopefully I’ll get to it.
My prediction (or maybe my hope) – Germany 2-1 over Spain with Podolski & Klose finding the back of the net…(Update: We got shut out by a better team.)
