It’s not getting any easier.  50 books in 52 weeks.  I only finished 2 last month because I couldn’t read as much while traveling as I expected.  By my calculations this is the 19th week of the year and I will have to go on a significant run to close the gap before the half way point.  Tonight I will finish my 14th book and since the next one is short (The Starfish Manifesto) I could be at 15 by the end of the week.  So only 4 down.  Come to think of it that’s not as bad as it seemed.

Most recently I finished the Bourne Betrayal by van Lustbader.  I like the Bourne movies so I decided to try a book.  Not bad, but not real good either.  I probably should have started with the Bourne’s by Robert Ludlum.

Before that it was The Cube and the Cathedral by Weigel.  I really enjoyed this book on religion and politics in Europe.  I think it will be an interesting piece in understanding European religious (and secular) culture.  I’ll put up a few posts on what I found most interesting soon.

The book I’m finishing tonight is a first for me.  A publisher sent me a free copy of I Want to Believe by Lawrenz.  I had heard that this happened but didn’t expect to actually participate.  Anyway, I’ll blog through that one as well, there are some interesting parts. (I almost feel obligated since it was free!)

I’ve got a short book on Eastern Orthodoxy coming up on the list too, I may not be as far behind as I thought.  15 of 19, not bad as long as I don’t use all the short books up before the second half of the year.
